Christian Petersen, founder and president of Fantasy Flight, announced his resignation in a surprise post on the company's website December 31.
As most fans know, Fantasy Flight is the current license holder for Star Wars roleplaying games.
It begin producing Star Wars content prior to the 2014 rebranding of the Expanded Universe as Legends, making it one of the few places where EU fans can continue to carry out EU-related adventures through its various RPG scenarios.
Circumstances surrounding Peterson's departure are unclear. Star Wars fans owe him and Fantasy Flight a real debt.
He will be missed.
