Let's be honest. The Holiday Special is crap.
Every fan will agree that the only good thing to come out of it, was the cartoon short that featured the first appearance of Boba Fett.
....well, everyone but me.
You see my favorite scene was the one with Ackmena.
Yes, I'm serious.
I enjoy seeing all the characters from the Cantina in a brighter light and (you have to admit) the song's kind of catchy. And has become the ONLY one I won't fast forward through when re-watching the movie.
Imagine my utter joy when Christie Golden decided to give her a brief appearance in Fate of the Jedi: Allies. I was stoked!
She was in her 90's at the time but to know she was still alive and kicking was enough for me.
I have no idea what possessed Christie Golden to do it but I'm glad she did. It's still today, one of my favorite "Easter Eggs" the EU has ever offered.
If you watch this movie again, I pity you. But if you do, then give the scenes with Ackmena a second look and I think you'll agree that compared to everything else, her scenes are "golden"
