Galaxy Tour: Outer Rim: Varada Sector

Baralou System (H-20)

· Star/Sun: Baralou

· Orbits:

o Baralou (four moons/satellites)

o Masalou

o Yaralou

o Tanalou

Baralou was an oceanic world home to two sentient species: the Krikthasi and the Multopos. Tidal forces from the four moons caused hellacious storms, while the intense internal pressure provided a tremendous array of gemstones. During the Galactic Civil War, the Rebel Alliance set up Aqualis Base amongst the island chains littering the planet.

The last three planets were barren, arid, super-saturated and frozen, respectively. Between the orbits of Baralou and Masalou was the Alou Belt, an asteroid belt that may have been a proto planet at some point.

Barraken System (H-19)

· Star/Sun: unnamed

· Orbits:

o Barraken

The Barraken system was known for its dangerous weed-scorpions.

Bestal System (I-19)

· Star/Sun: unnamed

· Orbits:

o two unnamed planets

o Bestal Three

During the Galactic Civil War, Bestal Three was an anonymous source of seeds used in medpacs. It also processed and exported ores from the nearby Kadal Asteroid Field.

Delantine System (I-19)

· Star/Sun: three unnamed

· Orbits:

o Benon

o Delantine

o Da’nor

o Romm

A unique trinary star system, Delantine was aligned with the Rebel Alliance until the Empire subjugated the system. Orbiting three stars affected weather patterns, especially on Da’nor, however Delantine enjoyed a stable cycle.

Dyspeth System (I-20)

· Star/Sun: unnamed

· Orbits:

o unnamed planet

§ Dyspeth

Originally settled around 900 BBY, colonists eventually broke from the Republic, forming their own civilization amongst the shadowy moonscape. At some point, a mysterious woman simply known as Twilight united the Force-sensitive colonists and formed the Force group Disciples of Twilight. When the Republic rediscovered the moon around 500 BBY, the Disciples gained access to nearby system.

Marat System (H-19)

· Star/Sun: Marat Prime

· Orbits:

o four unnamed planets

o Skye

A mountainous world home to the winged S’kytri species, Skye remained neutral and separate from galactic affairs until the Clone Wars, when a mad scientist nearly eradicated the S’ktri. They avoided extinction with the help of the Jedi, only to be enslaved by Darth Vader with the rise of the Empire.

Rhamalai System (I-19)

· Star/Sun: unnamed

· Orbits:

o Rhamalai

An independent world settled by a religious sect fleeing persecution from the Republic, Rhamalai held a modest population of about eleven million humans, centered in the capital city of Argona. Primarily an agricultural world, Rhamalai was subjugated by the Empire shortly after the Battle of Yavin.

Varada System (I-19)

· Star/Sun: unnamed

· Orbits:

o four unnamed planets

o Varada Five

Like many planets in remote portions of the Outer Rim territories, Varada Five was owned by a galactic corporation, and was the regional headquarters for the Sullust-based SoroSuub Corporation.
