Hello, we're back with day 12 of the Hasbro poll. As a refresher Hasbro has brought back the Fan Poll for a new figure and there are two EU figures in the mix. I have taken it upon myself to keep track of the vote totals, as they are only through comments and hashtags, and am giving a day by day update and analysis on how the poll is going. I’ll start as always with a brief recap the previous day, day 11, before getting to yesterday’s action.
Day 11
Day 11 saw a jump in voting totals though not by much, all but Weequay lost vote share though again we're talking about fractions of percentage points here. Both Starkiller and the Republic Trooper had higher totals of new votes in support for them. Weequay did pull away from Ahsoka after losing ground yesterday, but is only ahead by just over 20 votes. They are still down by over 800 votes for second and 1600 for first. What this means is that in order to pass Starkiller it would need to outvote it by 210 votes per day, and to pass the Republic Trooper it would need to outvote it by 410 votes.
Day 12
Voting totals were down again but didn't hit tournament lows. Weequay saw their first loss in vote share since I started keeping track as they were outvoted by Ahsoka in the battle for third place. Though still Ahsoka wasn't able to close the gap all the way. Republic trooper and Starkiller did well though a majority of the drop in votes came from Republic Trooper voters not showing up as though it still had the highest daily vote total it was far lower than yesterdays.
Projections
Overall not much changed with neither of the non EU figures that still technically have a shot amassing nearly enough votes to put pressure on the leaders. With just 3 days to go they'll need to outvote Republic Trooper by at least 560 votes a day to win outright, or outvote Starkiller by 300 per day to take 2nd. This would be a very tall order as we haven't seen over 500 new votes in a single day in nearly a week now. If vote trends continue then we pretty much know the rankings aside from who will win in the battle for 3rd. But while difficult there is still an outside chance that they could threaten for second with a late push.
Just 3 days to go. As long as we keep voting we should win, but don't get comfortable as Friday is still a long ways away and anything can happen now that were near the end.
