Touring the Galaxy: Meerian Sector

Bandomeer System (O-6)

· Sun/Star: Bandomeer

· Orbits:

o Envos

§ four unnamed moons/satellites

o Bandomeer

o Fitee

§ one unnamed moon/satellite

Both Envos and Fitee were uninhabited planets, with the first being an extremely hot gas giant and the latter being frozen and barren. Bandomeer, on the other hand, was a lush world with one massive continent and a great northern ocean. Homeworld of the near-human Meerian species, Bandomeer was historically aligned with the Republic, primarily utilized as an agri-world. However, come the time of the Galactic War, circa 3,640 BBY, mining prospectors began excavating the planet’s vast mountain ranges.

During the Galactic Civil War, Bandomeer remained firmly under the control of the Empire, including the Imperial Remnant once the New Republic was established. During their invasion of the galaxy, the Yuuzhan Vong temporarily occupied the planet, however Bandomeer would eventually come under the jurisdiction of Darth Krayt’s Sith Empire roughly a century later.

Flashpoint System (O-7)

· Sun/Star: Flashpoint

· Orbits:

o Flashpoint

An airless, molten world too close to its star to sustain life, Flashpoint was used by Republic scientists to study stars. Erecting a protective magnetic barrier around Flashpoint, scientists studied the star’s activities until the onset of the Mandalorian Wars, when the clans wrestled the planet away from the Republic and repurposed the research facility to experiment on captured Jedi. The facility was later destroyed by the Jedi.

Gorm System (O-6)

· Sun/Star: unnamed

· Orbits:

o Gorm

Gorm was a remote world considered part of Wild Space as early as 5,000 BBY. At some point an academy was established on the frontier planet.

Marcellus System (N-6)

· Sun/Star: Marcellus

· Orbits:

o Marca

o Glauheim

§ three unnamed moons/satellites

o Dadrus

§ five unnamed moons/satellites

Homeworld of the humanoid reptilian Sekct species, Marca was primarily an oceanic world, littered with humid, swampy island chains. Discovered by Republic scouts about two centuries before the Galactic Civil War, the planet remained neutral, instead being used by corporation as a test site for synthetic plant growth. With the rise of the Empire following the Clone Wars, the experiments continued under Imperial control until the Rebel Alliance was able to help the Sekct put an end to the synthetic experimentation.

Both Glauheim and Dadrus were uninhabitable gas giants, with little known about their satellites. Also located in the system was the unexplored Marcellus Nebula.

Thomquizzar System (O-6)

· Sun/Star: Thomquizzar

· Orbits: none

An empty system void of any natural orbits, Thomquizzar was the site of an orbital Imperial naval base during the Galactic Civil War.

Thorsgild System (N-7)

· Sun/Star: unnamed

· Orbits:

o Thorsgild

Thorsgild was a remote planet that saw little galactic traffic.

Vanquo System (O-6)

· Sun/Star: unnamed

· Orbits:

o Vanquo

§ at least one unnamed moon/satellite

A forested world landscaped by elaborate mountain ranges, Vanquo was a minor mining world in the region. However, during the Mandalorian Wars, it became the site of a massive battle between Republic and Mandalorian forces, resulting in a Mandalorian victory. The planet was transformed into a stronghold the Republic was never able to breach.

Following the war, Vanquo returned to neutrality until the Galactic Civil War, when it came under Imperial control. Eventually the planet would be conquered by the invading Yuuzhan Vong before ultimately being secured into Darth Krayt’s Sith Empire.

Wrodi System (O-6)

· Sun/Star: unnamed

· Orbits:

o Wrodi

Wrodi was a remote world regionally known for its woven products.
