Originally a twelve-planet system, the first five orbits were destroyed in 200 BBY when its star expanded into a red giant. At the time, Carosi VI was considered for terraforming until Carosi’s expanse, rendering it a scorched barren world. Both Carosi VII and VIII were humid, swampy worlds deemed inhabitable for colonization, while Carosi IX-XI were uninhabitable gas giants, with little known about their plethora of moons.
The only inhabited planet was Carosi XII, a cool maritime world teeming with mountain ranges and subarctic tundra and hot springs. During the Galactic Civil War, Carosi XII became a major planet in the region, aligning with the Rebel Alliance and eventually becoming a Republic world.

Originally the home planet of the Shi’kar species, the planet was impacted by a comet at some point in its history, shattering the planet into the Shi’kar Straits asteroid belt. By the time of the Clone Wars, the asteroids were used as havens for smugglers, pirates, and scavengers.

Homeworld of the arachnid Araquia species, Kirtania was lush world landscaped with plains, jungles, mountain ranges, forests, tundra, and deserts. Located along a major trade route in the region, Kirtania became a crucial trade world. Because Kirtania was divided into factions, the planet remained neutral, though during the Galactic Civil War one faction allied with the Empire, allowing them to put an outpost in their territory and patrol the system.
