§ Dantooine’s Second Star (astronomical object)
The four outermost planets were uninhabited gas giants, with the moon Parakus briefly being occupied by Separatist forces during the Clone Wars. The inner three planets were also uninhabited planets. Doma and Camooine were barren worlds, while Camillo was a toxic environment overrun by greenhouse gases.
The Wall of Dantooine housed sparce obsidian mining operations, while the planetoid known as Dantooine’s Second Star was the headquarters of a reclusive mercenary group. Homeworld of the semi-intelligent Dantari near-humans, Dantooine was a lush world teeming with life, landscaped with serene grasslands, steppes, oceans, and mountain ranges.
An outpost of the Infinite Empire early in its history, Dantooine eventually became a nominal Republic world that housed one of the main Jedi enclaves in the galaxy. Dantooine was briefly occupied by Sith forces during the Jedi Civil War in 3,956 BBY, the Dark Wars in 3,951 BBY, and later in 3,621 BBY during the Third Galactic War.
Come the Clone Wars, Dantooine fell in CIS territory, and initially was an Imperial world during the Galactic Civil War, shifting hands between Imperial and New Republic multiple times. Following a temporary occupation by Yuuzhan Vong forces during their invasion of the galaxy, the planet initially was a member of the reorganized Galactic Alliance before it came under the jurisdiction of the Fel Empire for nearly a century, finally becoming a member of the Galactic Federation Triumvirate by 140 ABY.
Gravlex Med System (L-4)
· Sun/Star: unnamed
· Orbits:
o Gravlex Med
Homeworld of the pterodactyl-like reptilian Anx species of humanoids, Gravlex Med was a temperate world of savannas, mountain ranges, and caves. A spacefaring race that colonized nearby worlds in the sector, Gravlex Med became a Republic world by 4,000 BBY, remaining so throughout the Clone Wars.
During the Galactic Civil War, the planet became a wasteland due to pollution from their Imperial overlords. The New Republic briefly controlled the world on the eve of the Yuuzhan Vong invasion of the galaxy, but the planet returned to Imperial control following the war with the extra-galactic beings.
