Almanian System (S-5)
· Sun/Star: unnamed
· Orbits:
o Almania
§ Pydyr
§ Drewwa
§ Auyemesh
Discovered as early as 3,000 BBY, Almania was a cold, mountainous, windy planet with a subarctic climate. Over the millennium, Almania was ruled by the Je’har, plutocratic oligarchs who received support from the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War, until the rulers turned tyrannical around 9 ABY. Less than a decade later, the dark Jedi Kueller purged the Je’har and established his short-lived dictatorship. Almania remained neutral and impoverished come the time of the Yuuzhan Vong War.
Pydyr was the homeworld of the avian Pydyrian species of humanoids. Unlike their Almanian neighbors, Pydyr enjoyed Republic membership until the waning decades of the government, when it was discovered that its senator aided slavers in kidnapping Almanians, keeping the planet impoverished for centuries. After initially coming under Imperial jurisdiction in the Galactic Civil War, Pydyr eventually joined the New Republic, drawing the ire of the dark Jedi Kueller, who committed mass genocide of the Pydyrians for their crimes against Almanians over the years. Eventually the endangered species would share the moon with immigrants of the Fallanassi Force tradition.
Little is known about the moon Auyemesh, other than it suffered the same fate as Pydyr. Drewwa, on the other hand, was a thriving industrial world that remained neutral through most of galactic history.
