Touring the Galaxy: Vorzyd Sector

Auratera System (R-6)

· Sun/Star:

o Aurell

o Ryern

· Orbits:

o Auratera

A lush, vibrant world teeming with oceans, mountain ranges and forests, Auratera orbited only one of its two stars, providing the planet with near constant light. As a result of its peculiar orbit, the planet was an extremely strong nexus in the Force. Discovered by the Jedi early in their existence, the world quickly attracted settlers. Fearful that the utopian world would be spoiled by nefarious agents, the Jedi had the system quarantined.

During the New Sith Wars, Auratera became the target of Sith assaults, but sustained little damage. Following the war, the Jedi and the Republic worked to have the system removed from galactic charts, hoping it would slip into obscurity as a legend. Come the Clone Wars, the Jedi abandoned the planet and its population, in hopes that it would be spared the devastation of the war. By the time of the Galactic Civil War, the Jedi had been successful in protecting the planet. Its coordinates were lost, kept secret by only the natives as they traveled the galaxy securing needed supplies for their forgotten civilization.

Columex System (R-6)

· Sun/Star: unnamed

· Orbits:

o Columex

An urbanized world, Columex was originally known as Nardolin under Xim’s empire. Following the empire’s collapse, Columex became a minor Republic world, however it soon seceded to join a local confederation of sectors, where it quickly rose to being one of the major planets in the government.

Before the New Sith Wars, Columex would rejoin the Republic, along with the rest of the confederation; however, they would secede again during the Clone Wars. In the aftermath, Columex received minor autonomy under the Galactic Empire, but would once again return to neutrality with the rise of the New Republic. Their independence, though, did not shield the planet from being razed by the Yuuzhan Vong during their invasion of the galaxy.

Farbog System (R-6)

· Sun/Star: unnamed

· Orbits:

o Farbog

Farbog was a remote world that came under Imperial control during the Galactic Civil War.

Hraki System (R-6)

· Sun/Star: unnamed

· Orbits:

o Hraki

Home to the near-human Hrakians, the planet was a tropical world teeming with dense rainforests and towering mountain ranges. Originally part of the local confederation of sectors, Hraki would also join the Republic along with the rest of its neighbors. During the subsequent Galactic Civil War, Hraki came under Imperial jurisdiction.

Kilmauls System (R-6)

· Sun/Star: unnamed

· Orbits:

o Kilmaulsias

A remote world of forested canyons and aeries, Kilmaulsias was the homeworld of the avian Kilmaulsi species.

Paigu System (R-6)

· Sun/Star: unnamed

· Orbits:

o Paigu

A minor planet in the sector, Paigu was an urbanized world and homeworld of the toad-like humanoid Paigun species. Paigu became regionally known for their technological breakthroughs in electrical energy by developing a grid to store collected energy from thunderstorms that pounded the planet. Originally part of the local confederation of sectors, Paigu joined the Republic along with their fellow confederates, ultimately coming under Imperial control during the Galactic Civil War.

Seftek System (R-6)

· Sun/Star: unnamed

· Orbits:

o Seftek

Home to a small colony of Selonians, Seftek was a member world of the local confederation, until it was absorbed by the Republic prior to the New Sith Wars. Following the Clone Wars, Seftek came under Imperial control.

Vorzyd System (R-6)

· Sun/Star: Vorzyd

· Orbits:

o Vorzyd I

o Vorzyd II

o Vorzyd III

o Vorzyd IV

o Vorzyd V

The inner three worlds in the system were uninhabited, however Vorzyd IV and V were the main locations of the Vorzydiak species of humanoids. Originally from the fourth planet in the system, settlers on Vorzyd IV became obsessed with work, transforming their world into a manufacturing hub in the region. Vorzydiaks on Vorzyd V, however, came to prioritize entertainment and enjoyment, building their world’s economy around pleasure.

Like other systems in the sector, the Vorzyd system was part of the local confederation until it joined the Republic. During the Clone Wars, the system joined the CIS, until it was subjugated by the Empire during the subsequent Galactic Civil War. Under Imperial rule, Vorzyd V suffered the most given their strict taxation on gambling and other forms of entertainment.

Yablari System (R-6)

· Sun/Star: unnamed

· Orbits:

o Yablari

Joining the Republic as early as 25,000 BBY, Yablari shifted hands repeatedly throughout galactic history, being annexed by the various Sith empires that momentarily conquered that portion of the Outer Rim. Primarily an agri-world, the planet eventually came under Imperial rule during the Galactic Civil War. Yablari was the homeworld of the humanoid Anomid species, known as being superb technicians.
