July 19, 2011, was the release of Timothy Zahn's Novel, Choices of One, the second installment of Mara Jade's story arc focusing on her Imperial Career as the Emperor’s Hand and the return of the Hand of Judgement.
It is set three months after Allegiance, also by Timothy Zahn, and takes place before the events of Star Wars: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. Its original working title was Choices, which then became Hand of Judgment before settling on its final official title. The hardcover edition contains a preview of Riptide, while the paperback also contains a preview of Scoundrels.
