Galaxy Tour: Zuma Region: Inner Moddell Sector

By Jason Dietzel

Annaj System (H-16)

· Star/Sun: unnamed

· Orbits:

o Annaj

Annaj, also known as Cannij Barr by the avian species Ayrou, is a temperate planet, full forests, plains, swamps, lakes, and also dense fog. Originally colonized by the Ayrou, Annaj was eventually controlled by the Empire. After the Battle of Endor, the routed Imperial forces under Captain Pellaeon would retreat to Annaj. Eventually the Empire would retreat from the sector and altogether and Annaj would eventually join the New Republic.

Qina System (H-16)

· Star/Sun: unnamed

· Orbits

o Hanchin (one moon/satellite)

§ Qina

Though Hanchin was a gas giant, its moon was a lush world that bathed in a constant green glow from Hanchin. Qina had very short nights, however, Hanchin would periodically set below Qina’s horizon, causing a far darker night. The moon became a religious site for the Vashan species, where millions would pilgrimage each mid-winter.

Kuna’s Tooth System (H-16)

· Star/Sun: Kuna’s Tooth

· Orbits:

o Kuna’s Tooth

During Imperial occupation, Kuna’s Tooth was a mining world, however, with the rise of the New Republic, Kuna’s Tooth became a primary source for a potent narcotic known as Rokna Blue. Raw rokna would arrive to Doestes High Port, where it was processed into small, blue nuggets and shipped to the rest of the galaxy via Annaj.

Maya Kovel System (H-16)

· Star/Sun: unnamed

· Orbits:

o Maya Kovel

A reddish, arid world known for its windstorms, Maya Kovel is the homeworld of the avian Ayrou, the dominate species in the sector. Green lichen flourished in the crevasses, which the Ayrou farmed. While a member of the Republic, Maya Kovel remained isolated from the Clone Wars, and saw little conflict between the occupying Empire and Rebel Alliance. Maya Kovel would become a member in the New Republic but would eventually come under the rule of Darth Krayt’s empire.

Ovise System (H-16)

· Star/Sun: Ovise

· Orbits:

o Ovise I

o Ovise II

o Ovise III

o Ovise IV

o Ovise V (four moons/satellites)

§ Midakos

§ Midakinos

There is little record of Ovise I and Ovise II, and it can be assumed both planets are barren rocks too close to their star. Ovise III, on the other hand, is a thriving, factory world. The planet was colonized around the year 1100 BBY by humans, Ayrou and the insectoid Vashan. By the time of the New Republic, the planet had become extremely polluted due to the unregulated growth of industry.

Ovise IV also had little recorded about it, implying it could be another barren planet. Its neighbor, Ovise V, was a gas giant and a known source of tibanna gas, as well as two habited moons, Midakos and Midakinos. Both were frigid, icy satellites with humans and Vashan inhabiting the former and only humans inhabiting the latter. It is likely both satellites were inhabited as a means to mine the tibanna gas from nearby Ovise V.

Thonner System (H-16)

· Star/Sun: unnamed

· Orbits:

o Thonner

Thonner was primarily an oceanic world, littered with tropical island archipelagos. At some point, the planet became overgrown with lichen, accidentally introduced by the Aryou, who also used the planet as a penal colony. Thonner would also be settled by humans and the humanoid crustacean Kian’thar species.

Vasha System (H-16)

· Star/Sun: unnamed

· Orbits:

o Vasha

Vasha is the homeworld of the Vashan, though has been controlled by the Ayrou. Being primarily a desert planet, its capitol city, Tatarrar, is the hub for exporting ore and workers. It is unclear if the Ayrou control the Vashan as workers in labor camps, or if the Ayrou merely have a colony on the planet. Like other systems in the sector, Vasha has seen controlling galactic powers come and go.

Vex System (H-16)

· Star/Sun: Vex

· Oribts:

o Vex Major

Vex Major was a small human colony set up for hunters and fishers to export their game as food. Its swampy, temperate climate it made undesirable for anything but game. The system was ringed by the Vex Belt, an asteroid belt that may have been the system’s second planet early in its formation.
