Let's face it, this era is a mess. With one lone terrible novel and a mediocre comic series from Dark Horse this series was chalk full of unfulfilled potential. I personally would love to see this story given some weight to the overall shaping of the galaxy and have a better explanation of why we should care about it.
I have no doubt Joe will do just that. The purpose of the book is not only to highlight the obscure lore of Star Wars but also tie it closer together too.
This series should have been good. It ended up being a disaster that went nowhere and built characters that were easily forgotten the moment one turned the page.
Needless to say, addressing this era in another light would benefit the era as a whole. I'm looking forward to hearing what's in store.
