Touring the Galaxy: Periphery Sector

Dles System (S-8)

· Sun/Star: unnamed

· Orbits:

o Dles IV

Dles IV was a remote world, used by the Rebel Alliance as a penal colony during the Galactic Civil War.

Jofoger System (S-8)

· Sun/Star: unnamed

· Orbits:

o Jofoger

Jofoger was a minor world situated along a regional trade route.

Ka’Dedus System (S-8)

· Sun/Star: Ka’Dedus

· Orbits:

o Af’El

Due to the planet not having an ozone, life was unsustainable on the surface from the ultraviolet radiation from its star. The gravity well from the supergiant Ka’Dedus star also gave the planet a high gravity environment and made travel close to the planet extremely difficult. The planet’s composition made it ideal for ore mining operations.

However, the sentient Defel species of humanoid canines were native to these harsh conditions, constructing large subterranean cities. Af’El was a Republic world until its fall, becoming an Imperial world for the first half of the Galactic Civil War, before becoming a member of the New Republic.

Lant System (S-8)

· Sun/Star: unnamed

· Orbits:

o Lant

A minor world, Lant was a Hutt world primarily utilized as a trade port between the cartels’ various holdings.

Novolek System (S-8)

· Sun/Star: Novolek Beacon

· Orbits: none

Novolek was an empty system, dominated by a pulsar that disrupted navigation and sensors with its anomalies. Pirate groups utilized these disturbances to cloak their activities so they could ambush starships traversing the sector.

Nwarcol System (S-8)

· Sun/Star: Nwarcol

· Orbits: none

Void of natural orbits, the system housed Nwarcol Point, a major refueling starport situated at the intersection of two regional trade routes. Come the Galactic Civil War, the starport was controlled by the Black Sun crime syndicate.

Sedri System (S-8)

· Sun/Star: unnamed

· Orbits:

o Sedri

An aquatic world, Sedri was the homeworld of the mammalian Sedrian species, and the sentient Golden Sun coral polyps. Due to the coral’s Force-sensitivity, the planet was masked as a luminous star; however, come the Galactic Civil War, the planet opened trade with the wider galaxy, becoming a member of the New Republic.

Sespe System (S-9)

· Sun/Star: unnamed

· Orbits:

o Topa

§ Torega

A remote world, both Topa and its moon were populated by spacers and pirate groups vying for local control.

Solacton System (S-8)

· Sun/Star: Solacton

· Orbits: none

Solacton was an empty system that was situated along regional and local trade routes.

Sriluur System (S-8)

· Sun/Star: Sriluur

· Orbits:

o Chaitun

o Weitun

o Alcrue

o Quay Lyn Asteroid Belt

o Lyntra

o Sriluur

§ Quay

§ Ruul

§ three unnamed moons/satellites

o Siquay

The four innermost planets were uninhabited barren worlds, seared by the system’s star, while the outermost planet, Siquay, was an uninhabited gas giant. Sriluur was the primary planet in the system, homeworld of the humanoid Weequay species, and a major planet in the sector, situated along many hyperlane trade routes.

Sriluur was an arid world of vast deserts, acidic seas, and volcanic ranges. Despite its environment, the planet was an agriworld, with minor operations of ore mining. Sriluur was controlled by the Hutt Cartels until the Galactic Civil War, when the planet came under heavy Imperial jurisdiction. The planet briefly came under Vong rule during their invasion of the galaxy, followed by Sith occupation during Darth Krayt’s Sith Empire.

Sriluur’s moon, Ruul, was a tropical paradise inhabited by the Weequay, primarily the Bolq family. During the Clone Wars, the moon came under Separatist control to secede from Republic jurisdiction, sparking a skirmish between dark Jedi aligned with the CIS and Jedi forces.

Terman System (S-8)

· Sun/Star: Terman

· Orbits: none

An empty system situated along a regional hyperlane trade route, Terman was home to the ancient Tion spaceport Terman Station. Following the collapse of Xim’s empire, Terman Station came under control of the Hutt Cartels.

Tragurd System (S-8)

· Sun/Star: unnamed

· Orbits:

o Tragurd

Tragurd was a minor world that saw little galactic traffic.

Vaath’kror System (S-8)

· Sun/Star: unnamed

· Orbits:

o two unnamed planets

o Vaathkree

A volcanic world of mountain ranges and lava flats, Vaathkree was the homeworld of the sentient stone golem species of the same name. Discovered by the Hutts as early as 15,000 BBY, the system remained in their control until the Clone Wars, when Vaathkree came under Separatist jurisdiction. With the rise of the Galactic Empire, the planet came their control until the end of the Galactic Civil War, when it was briefly occupied by the Yuuzhan Vong during their invasion of the galaxy.

Verde System (S-8)

· Sun/Star: Verde

· Orbits:

o two unnamed planets

o Yen-2

o Verde’s Belt

The planetoid Yen-2 was the only inhabited object in the system, home to a corporate mining colony. The two uninhabited planets were ice worlds inhospitable to life.
