However, due to experimentation, the planets and moon were rendered liveless, barren red wastelands, and the unidentified species went extinct. During the Galactic Civil War, a rogue Imperial commander established a base on the moon, attracting both Rebel and Imperial forces. The ensuing battle caused the star to go supernova, destroying the system.
